She feels that the last two years had passed as if they were hundred, because everything is happening on fast speed, that also change her with the same intensity. At the end of 2015 she, Iliana and the three boys in their team - Christo, Peter and Antony - formed their new indie folk rock band Dead Man's Hat, which is preparing their debut album. We're going to hear it for sure, but before that we're walking through the notes in her life, that bring her up when she's alone and make her cry among the huge crowd:

  • The thing from life: Chase&Status

    16 June 2016

    text Natalia Ivanova

We have a double click over here: the connection between Saul (Chase) and Will (Status) is so good, as it is between the bass and the lyrics, that meet in their music since More Than Alot in 2008. They don't leave our ears since then, but every time we decide to say "the dubstep/dnb duo from London", they change their direction. Now they turn to more grime and Prodigy sound, but in Sofia we'll also listen to some of the hyped tracks from No More Idols and Brand New Machine.
  • Road of changes

    9 June 2016

    Text Nikola Shahpazov

We became a bit sad when we heard that the Danish experimentalists Efterklang end off the group's history just after we heard them for the first time in the end of 2013. Fortunately, Rasmus, Mads and Casper palled up with the Finnish percussionist Tatu Rönkkö and now work on something different - very different as we saw from the first concert videos.

Their new single Ima risk is playing on repeat while we're waiting for Friday, May 13th to come - that's when the band will play their third album live for the first time. Meanwhile, let's hear Gurko's playlist, shall we?

Today we barely hear him on the other end of the telephone line but on May 16, at Arena Armeec, the sound will be crystal clear and Hans - just a glance away from us.

A genius musician, truly - we're not just saying it because everybody else is saying it, but because we were there at his last concert and our hearts were beating in one with his violin. We talk with the musician today about the best advice ever given to him, is there such a thing as a time for rest in his life, and how does it feel to be performing together with Michael Jackson.

Dry statistics would say that Emilian Gatzov-Elby is a composer who often works on theater and dance spectacles (so far more than 50), has won an Ikar award for the Psychosis 4.48 music and constantly hovers around the continent to make music for various performances on stage.

She's a trird of the Sentimental Swingers trio but she's a whole body of music. From her favourite jazz through hard metal, The Beatles and Depeche Mode, to Eminem, Vera finds herself in every song. At the moment her life is intense but her excitement compensates for that - the trio will celebrate their fifth birthday with a concert in Hall 1 at the National Palace of Culture. Before that there will be a screening of their premiere movie Life Is an Eternal Swing (filmed by Vera's husband, Andre Shandel). Clear your calendars for 18 November and now hear what her soundtrack sounds like.

    text Violeta Ivanova

They're Hidden Orchestra but it's hard to have a conversation with four people, so we're talking to the main string - Joe Acheson. The instrumental magic he creates, together with Poppy Ackroyd on violin and piano and drummers Tim Lane and Jamie Graham, is flowing toward us on 21 November at Mixtape 5 - in the form of their newest Reorchestrations. We adjust ourselves to their frequency and ask Joe about everything that passes through his ears before it turns into music.

Now the situation is even more serious, because he's tuning in for longer and closer - the ticket is warm in our pocket ever since we found out about his concert in Studio Orfey, Noember 9. Before that, we sit with him and listen about the things from his life... Let's start from the beginning?

The mastery in storytelling starts to flow in her veins in 1974, and 20 years later has associated with music education and jazz. Since then, this "creative trio" has recorded her name on 11 music tomes. We open the last - A Moment of Now, on November 5 on Plovdiv Jazz Fest, where Viktoria comes with the co-author, the pianist Jacob Karlzon.

    photo Ivana Rajić

They called him Bagheera when he is in the role of a DJ (yes, that's the pal of Maugli) because he is a "cool beast" but his real name is N1 too - Edin. He went out of his personal book of the jungle some years ago when he started making the programme of KC Grad, one of the best clubs in Belgrade. Today he is already managing another one - ''concrete cathedral"as everyone calls the enormous agent on the club scene Drugstore. While talking, Edin is looking for renting a bus to come here this week on Serbian Nights - an evening of contemporary Serbian culture that includes a screening of the movie Ocean and a party with Bagheera and DJ Doo. We interrupt his mission for an hour to ask the cool beast about the night life in Belgrade and who is wearing foxes in the summer.
