Georgi & The Grapes

"I've been writing since I can recognize myself in the mirror," he says quickly instead of handing us a business card. He is skillful with the piano and the guitar, too (he often plays and composes just for fun) as well as with the camera (he studied directing and dramaturgy) but, as you may have already guessed, literature draws him the most.

His name, Georgi Anev, once entered the bookstores in 2016 with the Children of the Phoenix, his first book, a "fairytale-nightmare" that talks about strange things like composers who speak like birds, or cleaners who do not clean cobwebs, but dreams. The fantastic element is present in his brand new Eternal Grapes - a collection of five totally different novels that matured under George's fingers for eight years. With an interesting language they lead us, for example, through an apartment that may or may not eat its occupants or to a boy who meets his dead sister on the seashore.

Eternal Grapes is published only in Bulgarian for now, by Mont, for 19BGN
Author Georgi Anev is on goodreads.com/GeorgiAnevBooks and facebook.com/georgianevbooks
