8 Moments of Sofia Zasheva

13 April 2017 text Violeta Ivanova
"Pop surrealism was one of my first influences. Baroque was my second", says the About section on her website where she collects two very different portfolios.

One is for the retouches she does for clients such as Nylon, Ferrari and Saatchi & Saatchi. The other holds what first got her into art - the photomanipulations, compiled in conxeptual series. The latest one is called Wave Maidens and was inspired by a Scandinavian myth about the 9 daughters of Aegir. The pieces in it are currently at PhotoSynthesis for an exhibition that you can still check out.

Sofia is on sofiazasheva.com, behance.net/sofiazasheva and facebook.com/sofiazasheva.retoucher
Her latest exhibition Wave Maidens is at PhotoSynthesis until 24 April
