The plot is about a cabaret actress who kills her lover, but with the help of a high-paid lawyer, she manages to convince the court of her innocence and become a star in the eyes of the press and the public. The original of the musical (1975) is by Bob Fosse, one of the greatest American choreographers and directors to whom we owe and those wonderful films-musicals Cabaret and All that jazz.
