Stanislav Genadiev and Violeta Vitanova are two young choreographers and dancers who amazed us the first time that we saw their authors project Imago at the hall of Sfumato. It seems we were not the only people who were impressed – their performance was the first dance spectacle to be awarded with Icarus award. We decided to meet them on that occasion but only Stanislav came for the interview because Violeta was already travelling somewhere in Spain. Though it was interesting talking to Stanislav – we talked about Linga, his future plans an about one Belgium dream.

Until an year ago the only way to see some of the spectacles of Magdalena MitevaTup-tup, 6 000 000 000 copies or 1,67м – was to go to a night club late in the evening, order one big drink and wait until it gets completely dark with only some cigarettes blinking here and there. The other was to go to one of the many festivals abroad from where she always gets back with an award. Her spectacles are an unusual, emotional, associational and vivid experience, using as a background the genius music of Vlado Kovachev from Cigaretta. That is why we couldn't let Magi go whitout telling us what is new about her, before going to perform in Europe.

After having written and sung some hot pop hits (I Wish You, It WasYou, Lie to Me – with Rushi), Carla Rahal somewhat disappeared from the music stage. But we found her and she has a very special occasion – her new monospectacle in the National Theatre written and directed by Kamen Donev. At the moment main audience for her music talent are her husband and her baby. As far as theatre audience is concerned – it is for everyone who passes by near the National Theatre and buys a ticket for the forthcoming premiere.

His name is Georgi Enchev but people call him Goosh. Not only has he a nice nick name but he also has a Modern Street Dance Centre – The Center – the only place in Bulgaria where you can learn how to dance hip hop and r’n’b. He had won a lot of awards from different competitions and soon Goosh and his students will have their show at the National palace of Culture and present hip hop dances to Bulgarian audience. The rest we learned from Goosh himself.

Lately, we very often hear the name of Ivan Burnev and every time it is on a pleasant occasion. After Lady Z and The Assaults (Salza i Smiah New Drama Theatre), now he impresses us with something really big – a nomination for leading role in the Irzi Mencel’s film I Served the King of England from the Festival in Berlin. This is the first actor to appear at the festival for 20 years time! Even though Ivan did not receive the award we were so happy about his nomination that we hurried to find him and ask him about the most important things before the film is shown on the Sofia Film Fest. We are waiting excitedly.
