Marked by the perfect incarnation of Renee Zellweger, this touching adaptation of Peter Quilter's play The End of the Rainbow presents an intimate portrait of the great Judy Garland in the last year of her life.

At the beginning of the movie, Garland is middle-aged, homeless, devastated, involved in a custody battle and almost rejected by Hollywood. In an attempt to gain some control over her career, she enlisted in a theater in London. She refuses to rehearse and, overwhelmed by anxiety, insomnia and alcoholism, she barely gets to the stage for the premiere. But once in the spotlight, in front of an eager audience, with a microphone in her hand and a great orchestra on standby, she suddenly feels at home.
