• The things from life: Tenko Nikolov

    30 June 2016

    text Natalia Ivanova

If you see him behind your boss' desk, then you are in the right office and you are made by the same ingredients - with balanced content of workaholism, interests and stubbornness. Tenko Nikolov is the CEO of the web hosting company Siteground, which won the prize of IT employer in 2015 and understands its teambuildings as a concert in the mountain or a premiere of the new Star Wars episode.
  • Tea From Morning till Night: Kyle Whittington

    24 June 2016

    text Natalia Ivanova

These pages have two ingredients, but not just a hot water and dried leaves. The pot here contains the passion and the curiosity of Kyle Whittington, who is not only in love with tea, but has dedicated his life to it and knows it in encyclopedic dimensions. Now he has gathered this heat into London's Tea Studio, which compiles art, gourmet and rituals in a tea cup. We're waiting for him for Beefeater Sofia London Week, but till then we have a small tea party conversation.
  • Treasure Hunt

    23 June 2016

    text Violeta Ivanova

To tell you that even our parents love it doesn't exaclty sound like an advertisement but it's actually the best one. We're talking about Geocaching - a treasure hunt sort of game with no age boundaries (or any other kind, as a matter of fact).

  • The Spirit of London

    16 June 2016

Sorry for our English, but how else can we say in a single word that the spirit and the drink of London land on the streets of Sofia with a lot of ice cubes? Only for a week, from June 27 to July 3, but right on time - on the edge of summer all we want is a sip of gin in an interesting company.
  • Sofia Pride Art Week

    16 June 2016

The Pride raises its flag for equality again and our eyes are on its colours even before the parade (on June 18th, starting at 17:00 from the Soviet Army monument). In the days before that we look at the theme through a few artists' lenses.
  • Lisa, Valentin & The White Rabbit

    16 June 2016

If you’re looking for the rabbit hole you’ll find it at 3 Pirotska str. White Rabbit Tattoo Studio has been living there for about six months now. If you’re already thinking about the wonderland, stop – the name of the studio comes from the Jefferson Airplane song … which also features Alice and a white rabbit but it’s not the same. The owners of White Rabbit are Lisa and Valentin whom we met and instantly liked.
  • Three cheers for Jägerhof

    16 June 2016

    photos Ralitsa Dimitrova

The cold hand of the refrigerator holds at least three reasons to say "Cheers", but this one here is a major one - Bavarian, dreggy and has so fuller taste, that quickens the clock to the end of the work day. After the first sip of the bottled live beer Jägerhof, which came here from Plovdiv, we're going to say just one thing - you always have to have at least one opener on your desk.
  • A Ton for Lunch

    2 June 2016

This tone is not in the weight, it's in a can. But simply to pull the cover is not enough - to cook tuna you don't need a kitchen, but it takes imagination. Here are two recipes without a single leaf of lettuce.
  • The Lord of the Night

    2 June 2016

    text Violeta Ivanova

"It works in Amsterdam, why don't we apply it here as well?" - there's no way you haven't heard this sentence before. This time, however, we're not talking about the legalisation of forbidden plants and profession - we're focusing on the Netherlands' night scene which now has its own mayor.
  • Massive Cleaning

    26 May 2016

Join the Let's Clean Bulgaria day on 4 June.

  • Star Wars: Episode MMXIV

    12 May 2016

Our headline is sci-fi but we're talking straight science here. Well, plus a bit of art in colourful ink, as shows the short sleeve of our space hero - Dr. Matt Taylor, astrophysicist.
  • Nikolay Pachev: 5-Year Fashion Forecast

    5 May 2016

  • Sealed in a bottle

    5 May 2016

We're singing this variation of Sting's song, while we're getting ready for Spring Wine Tasting in the middle of the month. The singer's name here isn't a coincidence - part of his personal cellar is coming to Bulgaria to say "goodbye" to it's corks in the name of the full glass of wine.
  • Come, Fool Us

    28 April 2016

When the pavement breaks under your feet, Lego people become soldiers, The Alien hitchikes, probably Leon Keer has passed on the street moments before you - a Dutch with a 3D paintbrush.
  • Market Values

    21 April 2016

We love bazaars not (only) for the shopping but because they shorten distances - since they exis, we've encountered, touched and tried a huge list of Bulgarian brands that really know what they're doing. At least 50 of them are coming to the green SoBazaar this weekend - we made this shortlist of 8 that we've never talked about before.
  • Little London

    21 April 2016

If we ever say "goodbye" to Bulgaria, we'll miss a thousand things and at least half of them live in the fridge. The same applies to British people who have exchanged London for Sofia, so, no surprise - there's now a place on Krakra street, where we can pay with lev for products priced in pound.
  • Five in the air

    21 April 2016

We are about to give them a high five for opening a new skate park in Sofia and excuse them for the trivial name, when we see the inversion. "Five high, because we're on the last floor and it's high", Rumen Gerasimov says, while we're searching for more quiet place in the creative riot around Culture Lab.
  • Fear and Craft in Sofia

    7 April 2016

Drinking one bottle of Flying Dog beer is never just having a cold beer. It's also a good way to become an art collector. How? Just take the label, made of Ralph Steadman. Yes, the same Steadman, who is Hunter Thompson's right hand.
