• The game of gamers

    19 March 2015

Let's talk about boardgames, shall we? We just love them. The question here is, where in Sofia can we play.
  • Time for a run

    19 March 2015

Why running is better, when you're in a company, and at what time should you be at South Park in Sofia, ready to start.
  • Between Gevgeliiski and Iraq

    12 March 2015

We love street food and we're ready to admit it - we don't exactly have the best traditions in it (even if we still like banica). That's why we're thankful for every known and unknow spot in the city, that takes us to other culinary territories. Today the magic carpet flew us to Iraq.

Look at Michael Phelps in the fifth coridor. Well, you will never be like him but swimming is not an Olympic game but a great sport for every muscle of the body and every cell of the brain. We're jumping in the pool with Vera Gotseva because she knows where the water in Sofia is deep blue.
  • Beard brothers

    26 February 2015

    text and photos Sevda Semer

Are we imagining things, or is there a special kind of brotherhood between men with beards? Which are becoming more and more as we speak. In order to examine the trend, we gathered the creators of the new brand for beard oil - Bradabrat - Vladimir Balkanov and Kiril Balkanov, with our most bearded friend, Pavel Naydenov, and left them to talk about the beard and its lifestyle. Like any good story, this also starts two generations ago...
  • Body, mind & Co.

The quest for a good relaxation on the weekend can be complicated, if you're not ready to travel. Or so we thought, before we found out that in the heart of Sofia, on a busy boulevard is the place where it is so easy to blissfully relax. We chose four experiences in Center Mandala - two by two for a complete detox from the city.
  • The spirit of ink

    19 February 2015

text Irina Dimova photos Sevda Semer

Some time ago a colleague went out in a lunch break and came back with a new tattoo. That's how we first felt the needle of Momchil Genov. One afternoon we went to visit his studio and while upstairs someone's arm was becoming a bear, we  learned a few important things - Momchil loves boxing, Cyrillic, and dogs (yes, the latter means that he would never put ink on his pitbull Mayday Mayday).
  • Manhood

    5 February 2015

Neva Balnikova's jewellery can be spotted immediately. The raw graphic jewels are a perfect match for the bold. We selected a few man's bracelets and rings that have just left her studio.
  • A little above the ground

    5 February 2015

That's where we are, when we are happy. The girl in front of you knows a shortcut - up the pole.

They are an uncommon blood type. They manage to fight not for themselves, but for the others. They were selected in the chart of Darik radio 40 until 40 for young leaders who are running to the future and create meaningful projects. Their own one is TimeHeroes.org - a platform for volunteering which gathers good causes at one place and on a click away. We met Yana Burer Tavanie and Pavel Kunchev to talk about the times. And heroes. And in between, we learned how to make the best crumbled eggs and what is the power of twitter.
  • 100 Beers

    29 January 2015

text Gergana Gugunska, photos Ralitsa Dimitrova

How two boys start 100beers.bg? The idea is born in 2013, when, after tasting yet another interesting beer, Ristislav decides that it is high time Sofia also had a place that offers a wide selection of beers. A month later, 100beers.bg is a fact - thanks to the web developer Vestimir, who joins the enterprise. Another year rolls by and their beers number way over 100 and the shop has two offline addresses - 26 Yurii Venelin Str. and 31 Zlatovrah Str. in Sofia.
  • Bodies in Motion

    22 January 2015

Four kinds of sports with a twist, which are worth the effort.
  • It's all about character

    8 January 2015

    text and photos Sevda Semer

We've known the designer Mila Ateva for a long time. She's known the man by her side, Vasil Poleganov, a long time. The Sassa Bjorg brand is a yet another thread that binds them together. Their work brings them everyday pleasure and makes way for a common future.
  • To Meet WhATA

    8 January 2015

by Evelina Ivanova, photos Ralitsa Dimitrova

This New Year's kick-off was a good one - we struck a new friendship with people who can tell a good building from a bad one. And we met over a glass of wine and sweets. Not bad at all!

  • Divino Veritas

    13 November 2014

by Irina Dimova, photos Ralitsa Dimitrova

The biggest wine exhibit in the country Divino Taste is this weekend. The spotlight is on the Bulgarian brands. This gave us enough reason to meet up with one of the owners of Grape Central, the wine place in Sofia, Efrosiya Blagoeva, over a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon.
The talk gave us food for thought and made us remember at least three things. To always taste before we drink, to share our wine if we want to feel closer to people and when in Rome to do as the Romans do - drink Proseco!
  • A Warm Connection

by Geri Turiyska pictures Vladimir Tomashevich

If you happen to pass by Lyuben Karavelov Str., make sure to slacken your pace at number 7. Chekmedzhe (or Drawer) is the warmest place in town - because of its home-made drinks, the friendly encounters and the fluffy knitwear made by two girls with a subtle taste for life.
  • Playful Success

Four years he almost missed the bus for Germany. The driver wouldn't let him get on because of the army of cartoon look-likes of the Yeti monster that he carried with him. "Better try and hitchhike a truck," the sulky driver advised him. Yet, with silent persistence, Peter managed to secure himself a seat (though not by the window) and to get on time for one of the biggest sports exhibits in the world, IPSO Munich - the venue where he showcased his latest invention -  the Small Foot inflatable snowshoes.
