A Warm Connection

If you happen to pass by Lyuben Karavelov Str., make sure to slacken your pace at number 7. Chekmedzhe (or Drawer) is the warmest place in town - because of its home-made drinks, the friendly encounters and the fluffy knitwear made by two girls with a subtle taste for life.

Chekmedzhe feels like home - once you've found yourself a comfortable spot, you don't want to leave. The old blue armchair is like one out of a sunny country house, the table with varnished wooden legs is a gift from a neighbor, the leather stool, the vintage chairs and the mustard-colored table were found in the street and brought 'home' by Ani and Irena.

The two girls follow the advice of their grandmas when they create their knitted home and fashion accessories. And they have indeed created a small purely Bulgarian brand.
