The long walk with Lyubo Georgiev

At the beginning of the 20th century his great-grandfather built the old post office and the cathedral in Veliko Tarnovo, and at the end of it Lubo watches "how the buildings rise" on the construction site of his father in Sofia. "This is how the story begins," he says, when we ask him why he chose to be an architect (and now even the director of Sofproekt). Meanwhile, he received diplomas from Italy and the Netherlands and gained experience in Venice, Amsterdam and Beijing, and then returned to Bulgaria after an invitation - to be the director of One Architecture Week in Plovdiv. A year ago, however, Lubo changed his address again - this time to lead the team responsible for the new Vision for the Development of Sofia. This is not a document hidden in a folder - the process is transparent, and everyone who is interested in a topic related to the city can also participate. For more details go to vizia.sofia.bg, but stay now with us for a walk with Lubo because of his personal look over Sofia - from the charm of the blocks in Druzhba neighbourhood to the magical paths in Mladost.
