Years ago Lozenetz had more trees and green meadows and the citizens enjoyed to have walks up the hill. On St. George's Day they gathered around the cross put at the spot where it was believed St. George's horse found a spring. The spring is gone, but the cross still stays.

The name of the most famous place for meetings in Sofia comes from the statue of Patriarch Evtimii, put on the square in 1939.

In fact Tzarevetz is the name of the building on Orlov Bridge, but the people call like that the entire area around it. The purpose of the building changed numerous times through the years, but now it is a good place for drinking beer in summer, arranging appointments and a favourite place for CSKA's fans before matches.
