Freefall

Freefall

The gallery's resident program at +359 is now welcoming guests from France - sculptor Pauline Toyer and sound artist Celsian Langlois.

During their stay in Sofia, they are mostly occupied by the place where they will exhibit - the old water tower, built at the highest point of Lozenets to be used as an observation post as well. Its spiral staircase becomes a journey through history and its past features that goes through all our senses. We climb in circles, listening to music from columns suspended like Foucault's pendulum in constant motion as the Earth rotates, and the smell of wood brings us to the heart of the tower. It may seem that at the high point we have reached the end of the exhibition, but on the way down we are about to experience the title Free Fall.
